Which Visa Do You Need?
Most international patients coming to China for medical treatment apply for one of the following:
S2 Visa (Recommended)
The S2 visa is a short-term private visit visa that explicitly covers medical treatment purposes. It allows stays of 30-180 days and can be extended within China if your treatment requires a longer stay. Jiahui provides the necessary invitation letter and medical documentation to support your S2 application.
L Visa (Tourist)
Some patients choose a tourist (L) visa. While medical treatment is tolerated on an L visa, we recommend the S2 visa for clarity and to avoid any immigration issues during extended stays.

- Formal medical invitation letter on Jiahui letterhead
- Hospital registration certificate (Chinese + English)
- Preliminary treatment plan (helps demonstrate purpose of visit)
- Cost estimate (helps demonstrate financial capacity)
Visa Extension in China
If your treatment requires a stay longer than your initial visa allows, Jiahui's international team assists with the visa extension application at the local Public Security Bureau. We provide updated medical documentation and a letter supporting the extension.
